Though the capital risk had not taken amplitude till World War Two, it did exist since quite a long time. As a matter of fact, people are bestowed to say that the Greek Thales de Milet, founder of the modern geometry, was one of the first “enterprise financiers”, as this latter having bet on a good crop, knew how to convince other people to invest in oil-mills. Examples of such persons are numerous: Vasco de Gama, Christophe Colomb…all had found support from investors who were not afraid of taking risks.
In Tunisia, the idea of capital risk sprung up since more than a decade, but waited for act n° 95-87 of 30th October 1995 aiming at legally framing capital risk trust units.
